La Serena are two musicians, who want to share their common interest for Sephardic music with the public.
The duo was founded in 2021 by Lucette van den Berg (vocals) and Annedee Jaeger (guitar).
Their repertoire consist of Sephardic music that originated over the centuries in the many countries surrounding the Mediterranean.
The repertoire, which was originally sung a cappella, is colorful, strength and full of zest for life.
This inspired the duo to create contemporary arrangements, in which a mix can be heard between classical, flamenco, Jewish and Arabic music.

In 2022, La Serena will stage their first storytelling program, in which the music and arrangements on the debut album are combined with a contemporary fairy tale.
